The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center marked a significant milestone with its 70th Annual D. Allen Stretch, Jr., Memorial Golf Tournament held on June 4 at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. The event successfully raised over $90,000 to support Shore Medical Center.

This golf tournament is one of the Auxiliary’s key fundraising events, attracting local businesses, hospital vendors, healthcare leaders, and supporters each year. The funds generated are intended to enhance patient care and upgrade technology at the medical center.

The tournament saw participation from more than 100 golfers and featured two tee times at 8 am and 1:30 pm. The day included contests, raffles, and an awards dinner. John Ruiz from R2Architects in Voorhees was honored for his continuous participation over the past 25 years.

Funds from the tournament will be allocated to various initiatives aimed at maintaining Shore Medical Center’s position as a leader in community-based healthcare.

For over 85 years, the Auxiliary has been instrumental in supporting the hospital through events like this golf tournament and other philanthropic activities.
