Congressman Jeff Van Drew posted a series of messages on social media between September 1 and September 3, 2025, addressing issues ranging from Labor Day celebrations to concerns about First Amendment rights and foreign influence.

On September 1, Van Drew recognized American workers in a post stating, “Happy Labor Day! Today we honor the hardworking men and women of New Jersey and across America. You are the backbone of this nation.”.

Two days later, on September 3, Van Drew warned about external threats to American freedoms. He wrote, “America has fought wars so no foreign power could ever take our rights. Now those freedoms are under threat again by European bureaucrats. Every American needs to see just how serious this is.”

Later that same day, Van Drew commented on the issue of free speech in connection with his participation in a House Judiciary Committee hearing. He posted, “If we lose our first amendment rights, we lose everything. At today’s @JudiciaryGOP hearing, I pressed witnesses on how we stop the censorship of our people.”

Jeff Van Drew serves as a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 2nd congressional district and is a member of the House Judiciary Committee.
