Congressman Jeff Van Drew has recently shared his views on several national issues through a series of posts on X, addressing topics such as former President Donald Trump’s outreach, offshore wind energy, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
On December 8, 2025, Van Drew commented on Donald Trump’s engagement with working Americans. He stated, “.@realDonaldTrump getting out there with working people and hearing what they are facing everyday matters. He knows Washington is a breeding ground for dysfunction and political disease. Speaking directly with the American people is exactly what we need to do!”
Two days later, on December 10, 2025, Van Drew addressed a recent judicial decision related to offshore wind development. He wrote, “This ruling is flat-out wrong. Offshore wind has done nothing but threaten our marine environment, our economy, and our national security. We are not backing down from this fight.” His comments reflect ongoing debates over the environmental and economic impacts of offshore wind projects.
Later that same day, Van Drew turned his attention to health care policy in another post about the ACA: “The ACA was a failed experiment. It became a breeding ground for fraud: fake people getting approved, dead people enrolled, and billions of taxpayer dollars wasted. We need a better, honest system, with a clear plan to protect Americans during the transition.” The ACA has faced criticism since its inception regarding enrollment errors and government spending.
Van Drew represents New Jersey’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. His positions on offshore wind echo broader concerns among some lawmakers who argue that such projects may harm local economies or pose risks to marine life.
