Shore Medical Center has announced that Beth Toner, a lactation consultant from Mt. Laurel, has been named the March Guardian Angel of the Month. This recognition is part of Shore’s program that allows community members to express gratitude to caregivers through donations in their honor.

Toner joined Shore less than a year ago and plays a vital role as a lactation consultant. Her responsibilities include helping parents with milk supply issues, addressing feeding challenges, and supporting cases involving preterm infants or medical conditions. She also educates on nursing, pumping, and weaning while working with healthcare providers to create effective feeding plans.

Nicole DeCicco, Administrative Director of Maternal Child Health at Shore Medical Center, commented on Toner’s contribution: “Beth is very caring and helpful to her patients. She is full of joy and brings a positive attitude to our unit, helping create a great work environment. Beth is a team player and a true asset to Shore and our community.”

A family who benefited from Toner’s expertise made a donation in her honor and shared their appreciation: “Beth really helped us out as new parents. She is so knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Thanks to Beth’s help, our baby is growing healthy and strong.”

Beyond her professional duties, Toner enjoys spending time with her family.

The Guardian Angel program at Shore Medical Center offers patients and families an opportunity to acknowledge staff members who positively impact their care or experience. Recognized individuals receive acknowledgment among peers along with a Guardian Angel pin during an annual ceremony. To honor someone through this program, contact Shore’s Planned Giving & Development Department or visit their website.
