Two Atlantic County history Society experts will be speaking soon

1

Atlantic County Historical Society issued the following announcement.

TWO ATLANTIC COUNTY HIST. SOCIETY EXPERTS WILL BE SPEAKING SOON!!!  WEDNESDAY, MAY 11th, the SONS of the AMERICAN REVOLUTION (SAR) DINNER GET-TOGETHER will host ACHS Board member Prof. Tom Kinsella and ACHS long-time member and well-known SJ researcher Paul Schopp.  We're giving you advance notice because we think we have a pair of interesting speakers that SJ history buffs won't want to miss.  Many of you have read copies of the well-done Sojourn Journal published by Stockton Univ.   Stockton also operates the SJ Culture & History Center.  Center leaders English Prof. and Director Tom Kinsella and Asst. Dir. Paul Schopp will be joining us to present their research projects that are in-progress as well as their future projects they have on their books.  This is the group that published our ACHS Jeremiah Leeds essay and they are looking for more history writers with interesting history projects.  This will be a normal 6:30 to 8:30 PM SAR dinner meeting but the night-of-the-week is different - Wed, May 11th, instead of our usual 2nd Thurs.  It's at Fred & Ethel's in our usual private room and we will order from the regular menu as always, plus there's a cash bar available.  As always, come prepared to pay IN CASH for your dinner and drinks (no credit cards) including A GENEROUS TIP for our long-time server Monica (min 20% but we at the SAR strive for at least 25%).  You can begin to send me your RSVPs when you're ready.  The public is welcome but seating is limited and is only by reservation.  If you make a reservation, we expect you to attend.  Call me if you want to RSVP or you need more info at (609) 513-1044.
