Here's another VIRTUAL ARTIST TALK from Ricardo Francis. His achingly beautiful paintings uplift stories of the African American experience, speaking truth to power. Much of his work involves portraiture, symbolism and collage challenging traditional imagery of people of color by projecting intense strength and beauty. Ricardo's contributions to DISRUPTION offer a fresh and unique perspective on racial justice, the pandemic, intersectionality and the Black Lives Matter movement. Ricardo's paintings leap off the canvas and wrap themselves around your heart. As he puts it, "I hope that anybody can come across my images and walk away feeling like there’s a part of them that’s there." DISRUPTION: art of change opens tomorrow night 6-8 PM and runs until May 28th. Don't miss it!
