26 coaches at institutions in Atlantic County earned $42,433 on average in 2022

Atlantic County’s 26 coaches earned an average salary of $42,433 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the ninth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at New Jersey post-secondary schools during 2022.

Atlantic County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Stockton University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $65,287.

Male coaches of men's teams received $60,517 on average in Atlantic County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $49,638.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
