Congressman Van Drew has called for greater transparency from officials regarding the unidentified drones flying over New Jersey. Addressing South Jersey residents, he highlighted the need for clear communication about the potential national security implications of these events.

In a recent article by Business Insider, satellite images confirmed that a militarized drone ship departed from its port in Iran between November 12th and November 28th. This timing coincides with when drones began appearing over New Jersey.

"While the Pentagon and the Governor may try to dismiss the idea of an Iranian drone ship, we now have additional confirmation that this ship exists and it is no longer in its port," said Congressman Van Drew. He added, "I am not claiming that this ship is stationed right off the coast of New Jersey, but we certainly have to explore the possibility it is somewhere out in the ocean."

Van Drew noted reports from commercial fishermen and local law enforcement observing drones flying in and out of the Atlantic Ocean. He stated, "These drones are reportedly the size of minivans. This is not the work of some backyard hobbyist."

He continued, "We know it is not a commercial entity, which leaves us with two possibilities: it is either our government or it is a foreign adversary." With government denial of involvement, Van Drew emphasized exploring all evidence and possibilities due to national security concerns.

"The American people deserve nothing less than our full commitment to finding out the truth," he concluded.
