Congressman Van Drew has addressed the Veterans Affairs Wilmington Health Care District, expressing concern over delays in relocating the Atlantic County Veterans Clinic. In a letter sent today, he highlighted the importance of timely access to healthcare for veterans.

"Veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and it is time we repay that by ensuring they have access to the healthcare they need, without having to travel long distances or wait unnecessarily," said Congressman Van Drew. He emphasized that the new clinic would provide expanded services and improve accessibility for veterans in South Jersey.

Van Drew urged the Veterans Affairs Wilmington Health Care District to expedite the relocation process. "The clinic will offer expanded services and make care more accessible to veterans in South Jersey, and we cannot afford to keep pushing this back. The Veterans Affairs Wilmington Health Care District must take action to speed up the process."

He also requested regular updates on construction progress and immediate notification of any potential issues causing further delays. "I have asked to be kept informed on the progress of the construction. If any issues come up that could cause further delays, I want to know about them immediately," he stated.

Congressman Van Drew reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with all parties involved to ensure veterans receive necessary care locally. "I am committed to working with everyone involved to make sure our veterans finally get the care they deserve, right here in South Jersey."
