Today, Congressman Van Drew announced that the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) did not vote on Atlantic City Electric's proposal for a rate increase at their meeting. The decision on the proposed 8% rate hike is postponed until April, when it will be discussed in a public meeting.

"While the vote is delayed until early next year, it is more important now than ever that we keep the pressure on the NJBPU to show them that a rate increase is not in the best interest of our residents," said Congressman Van Drew. "In the meantime, I remain fully committed to advocating for our community and ensuring that utility costs remain fair and affordable for everyone. I will keep you informed with any new details on the upcoming vote."
