Today, Congressman Van Drew highlighted the success of several grant programs in Atlantic City aimed at enhancing public safety and job opportunities. He expressed his commitment to supporting the community, stating, "I am proud to be doing everything I can to lift up the people of Atlantic City and South Jersey."

One such initiative is the EnVision Center, which offers pre-apprenticeship training in cybersecurity and low-voltage electric installations. The program's first class comprises 30 students who are set to graduate in February, equipped with skills in high demand.

Another key program is the Jewish Family Service's 'Boosting to Work,' designed to assist individuals in leveraging their acquired skills for employment. This includes resume assistance, interview preparation, and establishing job market connections. "It is designed to set people up for success and to help them secure good jobs," Van Drew noted.

Additionally, a grant was secured for the Atlantic City Police Department for essential safety improvements like new street lighting and camera equipment installations. Graduates from the EnVision Center will have opportunities to apply their training by working on these public safety projects.

Van Drew emphasized the interconnectedness of these programs: "These programs are all connected, and together, they are helping build a stronger Atlantic City." He expressed pride in securing these grants and witnessing their positive impact on South Jersey residents.
