Congressman Van Drew has announced that Exelon has postponed a scheduled meeting, originally set for this week, to the first week of December. The delay is intended to provide more time for Exelon to prepare their response.

"I am disappointed that this process has been delayed yet again by Exelon, but this better mean that they are developing a serious response and action plan to address the concerns of our community," stated Congressman Van Drew. He emphasized ongoing discussions with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and relevant Congressional committees. "Our discussions with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the appropriate Congressional committees are ongoing, and we are committed to leaving no stone unturned to ensure South Jersey residents receive the relief they deserve."

Van Drew also noted the role of state authorities in this matter. "This situation should not require federal intervention as the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) has a responsibility to act," he said. However, he affirmed readiness at the federal level if necessary. "We will do whatever it takes at the federal level to bring justice for South Jersey residents."

The congressman mentioned keeping communication lines open with the incoming President's team for potential support. He promised transparency throughout this process: "We will continue to be open and provide updates with any new developments. Each and every step of this process will be revealed to the public in order to maintain maximum transparency."
