Shore Medical Center honors Herminio DeLaRosa as Employee of the Year

Shore Medical Center has recognized Herminio DeLaRosa, a maintenance mechanic from Mays Landing, as its Employee of the Year. The announcement was made during a ceremony on February 27, attended by his colleagues and hospital staff.

Bob Robertson, Senior Director of Logistics, Plant Operations & Maintenance at Shore Medical Center, praised DeLaRosa's dedication: “Herminio DeLaRosa is an incredible employee. His work ethic is impeccable and is key to success in our efforts.” Robertson noted that DeLaRosa treats the maintenance shop with ownership and commitment, being present from start to finish each day. Additionally, DeLaRosa is pursuing a High-Pressure Boiler License with aspirations for an operating engineering role.

DeLaRosa expressed his gratitude for the recognition: “My goal has always been to make sure that everyone at Shore Medical Center feels as comfortable as possible. In my mind, the patient always comes first. I enjoy working in this environment and being able to help others.”

Brad Foltz, Director of Plant Operations, commended DeLaRosa's work ethic and problem-solving abilities: “It was great to see Herminio recognized for his incredible work ethic, problem-solving skills, and commitment to ensuring that the hospital operates efficiently.” Foltz also highlighted DeLaRosa's positive attitude and interpersonal skills.

Jim Crawford, Plant Operations Supervisor at Shore Medical Center, added his observations: “I worked with him closely and have seen time and time again his willingness to tackle challenging maintenance issues and go the extra mile for our staff and patients.”
